

Q: How easy is it to rent a car or van?
A: Simple, just call our central reservation number, talk to our friendly trained staff and they will take all the relevant information from you to secure your booking.
Q: Do I need to pay when I book?
A: No, you do not need to pay anything until the point of rental.
Q: What payments do you accept?
A: We accept most major credit and debit cards and cheques that are supported by a cheque guarantee card for the full amount of rental and deposit. We are unable to accept cash.
Q: What documents/ID is required to hire a vehicle?
A: You will need a current drivers licence, including both the counterpart and the credit card style part of the licence. If you have not hired from us before we will require 2 forms of ID, these can be in the form of a bank statement, utility bill, Council Tax bill or passport. One form must show the hirers signature and the other must show the hirers current home address. If you are an existing customer you will not need to produce ID unless your details have changed or you have moved house.
Q: Are there age restrictions?
A: Yes, the minimum age to hire a car or light commercial vehicle is 22 years, although if you are under 23 your insurance excess will increase to £500.00. To hire a minibus or 7.5 tonne truck you will need to be 25 years old. The maximum age to hire is 75, however, drivers over 75 may be accepted by approval of our insurers. You will need to have held a full driver licence for 12 months, however, if you are under 23 you will have to have held a full licence for 24 months without accidents or endorsements.
Q: What type of licence do I need to hire a minibus?
A: Your driver licence should include Category D1
Q: What type of licence do I need to hire a 7.5 tonne truck?
A: Your driver licence should include Category C1
Q: What does the price include?
A: The rental charge includes insurance, unlimited mileage, breakdown cover and vat.
Q: Is there an insurance excess?
A: Yes, you are liable for the first £250.00 of any damage caused to cars and light commercials. An excess of £500.00 applies to people carriers and refrigerated vehicles.
Q: What is not covered by the insurance?
A: There are some things that are not covered by our insurance like damage to tyres, wheels, aerials, glass and vehicle interiors or where damage has occurred due to negligence by the hirer. Other restrictions apply to specific vehicles so please ask at the time of booking.
Q: What do I do if I break down?
A: If the breakdown is during our opening hours please call us first, we may be able to resolve the problem quickly and easily. If we cannot resolve the problem you will need to call the motoring organisation detailed on your rental agreement or in the vehicle. Please be ready to give the motoring organisation details of the vehicle, location, nature of the breakdown and your contact details.
Q: What are your opening hours?
A: We are open from 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and from 8.00am to 12.00pm on Saturdays.
Q: Can I extend the rental period?
A: Yes, but please let us know before the original rental period ends in case we need to rearrange other bookings. You will also be required to pay any additional costs.
Q: Will I be charged if I need to cancel a booking?
A: No, but please give us as much notice as possible.
Q: Can I take the vehicle abroad?
A: Yes, but you will need to let us know at the time of booking so that we can arrange the necessary documents for you. Additional charges will apply and our helpful staff are able to advise you of this at the time of booking. Unfortunately we are unable to allow 7.5 ton vehicle to travel abroad.
Q: Can I add other drivers to the rental agreement?
A: Yes, but we must see their driver licence so that we can take the details and satisfy ourselves that the driver meets our insurance conditions. An additional driver charge will apply.
Q: Can I guarantee a particular model of vehicle?
A: Yes, if we have a particular vehicle available at the time of booking you may ask us to hold that vehicle for you. In other cases we will do our best to supply the correct vehicle for you but cannot guarantee it. If we are unable to supply the model requested we will give you a free vehicle upgrade.
Q: Can I provide my own vehicle insurance?
A: Yes, as long as your insurance is fully comprehensive and meets our terms and conditions. You will need to provide us with a copy of your insurance clearly indicating that cover includes our rental vehicle.
Q: Are there likely to be any additional charges at the end of the rental period?
A: No, not unless the vehicle requires fuel, is damaged or is excessively dirty, or we receive notification of subsequent motoring or parking offences.
